This is a superb example of the beautiful work of Giuseppe Baldantoni. This instrument though it has a smaller body size puts out a very high quality substantially powerful sound. It’s solo characteristics are fantastic! The lack of corners makes the instrument easy to get around in any range. The setup will make the most discriminating player happy. Although the bass was just purchased just a few years ago by Barry Green, he has retired from teaching at Ohio State and turning the page to new adventures that don’t require such and amazing vintage instrument.
