We can help you sell your instrument!

We gladly take your instrument or bow on a consignment basis. Our shop has an international reputation as fair and diligent representative of your instrument. We have a large contingent of contacts and clientele across the globe to assure your instrument gets to all potential buyers. The CBC gladly handles all transportation, marketing and all communications. Our commission rates for all basses and bows are 20%. Commission on basses over $70k. are negotiable on an individual basis.

Instruments sold on consignment must be in excellent shape and playing condition. Basses not meeting the highest standards will need to be repaired or set up before joining the collection. All of the work completed must be paid for in advance upon signing the contract.

We are always looking for basses to purchase in any condition. We understand that your instrument might need a good bit more repair than you can afford. One of our specialties is turning a hopeless case into a life long companion!

This option is also good for those who don’t have the time to wait out a consignment sale. You won’t realize as much money but we take all of the risk.
