Extremely nice bass attributed to Paul Claudot circa 1850. This bass is not one of the larger models and is very easy to get around. The geometry of the instrument makes all ranges very accessible. There’s ample power and is very even and wolf free.
The bass had the wide grain spruce top associated with many Claudot basses along with well flamed maple back and ribs. The scroll is original and the bass is in excellent shape.
