This is the best bass we’ve had in from Tom Martin’s shop. The bass has a huge sound and a mammoth E & A string. This is a really good orchestra instrument and would be impressive at any audition. For having such a robust tone the bass doesn’t fight at all and moves freely under the bow. This is an easy 7/8 bass to play as the geometry is excellent and the string length is 41″.
The instrument has been well taken care of and is in excellent condition. This round back has well flamed sycamore back and ribs. Basses with this much cushion on the bottom end never last long, especially at this reasonable price!
