A superbly made pre-WW2 Joseph Rubner bass with nicely flamed maple and strait tight grained spruce. The bass has a beautifully aged attractive varnish. We set the bass up for high quality modern playing. Really nice fingerboard dressed for Jazz or classical playing. The bass has amazing sustain with a very complicated and robust sound. The neck set and standout have been modernized for easy accessibility in all ranges. This bass competes with basses in much higher price ranges.
