Very nice Austrian orchestra bass circa 1900, in excellent condition. What little repair work the instrument has needed over the years is very good. The instrument has a powerful tone with lots of bottom end. The set up is really good as it was played in Houston Symphony for many years. This would be a good audition bass as it has a lot of character to set you apart. All the ranges are easily accessible.
Constructed with beautiful highly flamed maple and straight grained spruce. A really great deal for $18,500!
