Really nice century old Albert Volkmann bass in excellent condition. This bass is originally a five string instrument but has been converted to a four. Give us an hour and we can convert it back to five for those looking for the fifth string. This is a powerful classical bass or a top end jazz instrument. It’s set up real well with proper neck angle and standout. The bass was restored recently at our shop.
This is a really good price for a bass of this quality and playability. Has the original label and the proper stamp on the back button. This bass was apparently shown as bass #2 at a Köln Messe (festival) most likely the year it was made and is stamped accordingly.
