Very unique full size bass made by Georges Chanot in London 1877.

Label reads George Chanot/ violin, violoncello, doublebass and bow maker, to his Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, the elite of amateurs, The great continental & English Artists, 103 Wardourn Street, Oxford Street, London 1877.  The was Chanot’s exhibition  bass entered in the Paris Universal Exhibition of 1878, English Section, Grand Model of Stradivarius.

A one of a kind experience when playing this very large instrument.  You’re going to have to be a very tall person to play this amazing instrument.  It’s a lot of fun if you can handle it.  It would also be a fantastic addition to any serious instrument collection.  The owner is trying to make sure this important instrument gets into good hands.  All serious offers considered.
