Early Brescian c.1580


After an extensive 2 1/2 year restoration, this 400 year old Brescian bass is finished. An extremely early instrument, circa 1580. The ancient label reads “Gasparo da Salo, Brescia.

The tonal qualities of this instrument epitomizes the golden age of Italian bass making.

The lineage of da Salo is evident in the power and warmth this instrument demonstrates. This is a once in a lifetime chance to own an important piece of bass history!
